Problems
Being non-biodegradable means that the object will be broken down and returned to its original compounds that can be found in nature. So the pesticides will only decay after a very long period of time. Pesticides like DDT (essentially the most notorious of all pesticides) release tireless and extremely toxic by-products. DDT and pesticides like it have been given the nickname “legacy pesticides". The reasoning behind this is that they happen to kill animals that were not supposed to be targeted for years in bodies of water and in soil, not where they are supposed to kill them. Non-biodegradable pesticides will move up the food chain, slowly accumulating more chemicals until it reaches the top (THAT MEANS US!!!).
