Effects
There are many effects concerning Non-biodegradable pesticides, and they vary depending on when where they are released:
· These pesticides will hoard in the soil, air and waters, penetrating the food chain from the bottom up.
· Through the process of bio-magnification the concentration of these substances greatly increases by the time we consume it.
· The amount of chemicals put in to these pesticides corrupts the quality of the soil.
· The destructive pesticides and the chemicals in them may get into the animals of the farms food causing them to develop diseases.
· Some decided to “flush” the pesticides but this can cause bodies of water to become infected with the pesticides
· Organisms in the soil can be severely hurt, and if “flushed” marine animals will also suffer.
· Pesticides that are used frequently simulate the hormones that govern sexual and neurological development.
· Pesticides are may cause a rise in diseases of the reproductive system.
· After long term exposure it can develop cancer
· Some of these pesticides can live soil for 15 years or more
